Eduquemos
Honduras
child
sponsorship project

The project is structured in the medium and long term to support children of different ages to complete their secondary education and thus ensure that they have at least 14 years of schooling and better options in the labor market. In addition, medical, nutritional, dental and psychological evaluation components are gradually being incorporated because the educational process must be comprehensive.
Due to the existing problems in the Honduran educational sector, AGES executes this project for the sponsorship of 60 children, supporting their parents in the purchase of: school supplies, uniforms and other necessary supplies so that the beneficiaries are enrolled, do not have problems during the school year and can be promoted to the next grade.

Sustainable Development Goals and Objectives

General objective

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

1. Manage funds for the purchase of supplies so that the 60 children benefited by the project: attend, remain and finish the school year they are entitled to and be promoted to the next grade.

2. To ensure that the fathers, mothers and/or guardians of the 60 sponsored children observe the fulfillment of the commitment made with AGES, taking into consideration the provisions of the various declarations and conventions on Human Rights and Children's Rights.

3. Promote a fluid relationship between fathers, mothers and/or legal guardians of the children and the AGES work team through the School for Parents and other extracurricular activities in order to achieve a comprehensive support for the children.

4. Establish a work methodology together with the parents and/or guardians that will allow the 60 children to maintain a sustained improvement in their educational process and thus increase the options of better jobs when they join the PEA.
